Unfussy and very authentic. My fav place down Belgrave Road. Very short menu but the food they have is just great! The Thali and Special Mix Chaat are particularly good. They shut at something like 8pm though so it's more a place for lunch than dinner.

Excellent and ridiculously cheap Gujarati vegetarian food at this small cafe/restaurant. Thalis are £5 eat-in or you can take away a 'tiffin' at lunchtime 2 curries such as muttar paneer, aubergine, mixed veg or chickpea PLUS rice, dal, 3 chapatis AND a sweet for £3. I'm not Gujarati but my wife is, so we've eaten plenty of veggie curry, and even though neither of uas are vegetarian this is our joint-favourite place to eat lunch in Leicester the other being the even smaller and even less restaurant-y 'Phulnath' further up the Belgrave Road!
